Why is a brokerage account created when my QuietGrowth account is created?

When we create a QuietGrowth account for you, a new individual HIN, a brokerage account and a cash account in your name are also created. The brokerage account is created because an execution and clearing broker is required to execute the buy and sell trades of your securities in QuietGrowth portfolios.

We provide you with the QuietGrowth service through the Managed Discretionary Account (MDA) structure. For more information, refer to our MDA Structure page.
